We are pleased to report that we have successfully negotiated a settlement of all of our Opt-Out claims. Payments have already been received and distributed to our Opt-Out claimants.

The processing of the “7th Amendment” claims, formerly known as “Green Form” claims, is progressing at the expected rate. We anticipate that all of the claims will be processed within the next 6 months. The amount of the payments will not be known until all of the claims have been audited and the total number of eligible claimants has been determined. We are contacting our clients on an individual basis as soon as any new information on their claims is received. The results are coming back within three categories:

The 7th Amendment auditors are proving to be as difficult and conservative in their reviews of the echos as were the original trust auditors, but we are no longer bound by the old trust which was running out of money.

Victoria Swanson Publishes Evidence Book

In December of 2005, the Bradford Publishing Company, Denver, Colorado, published its first book on evidence, authored by Victoria Swanson: “Colorado Evidence Handbook”. The book is a unique treatment of evidence problems and issues for the litigation attorney practicing in Colorado state and federal courts. This is the third courtroom legal book authored and edited by Ms. Swanson. The other books are: “Colorado Courtroom Handbook” and “Colorado Auto Litigators’ Handbook.”

Victoria Swanson was named one of the “Top Attorneys in Colorado”, as a “Super Lawyer” by the publishers of Law & Politics and 5280 Magazine for 2006 and 2007. She was honored in the “General Litigation” category. Ms. Swanson was also selected to be listed in the 2006 Who’s Who in America.
